Since the firm was founded in 1981, Roy & Associates has established a strong reputation for providing high quality audit services. Auditing has been a core service of our practice since inception, and we continue to work diligently to grow and improve our audit process. Although auditing is not the only service we provide, it is a service we devote a high level of commitment to, and one which enhances our understanding of organizational structure and internal control. We specialize in audits of subsidized housing projects, municipalities, and non-profit organizations.
What Is An Audit?
An audit provides the highest level of assurance to the users of the statements that those financial statements are fairly presented in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America.
Who needs an audit
The audit function is most prevalent among entities that are publicly traded, receive Federal and/or State funding, or private entities amidst purchase and sale agreements.
How is this done
An auditor's job is to attest (or give an opinion) on financial information which is presented by the management of the respective entity, by performing certain tests and analytical procedures which are prescribed by generally accepted auditing standards.
We have extensive experience with Federal and State requirements, particularly the compliance requirements described in the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-133 Compliance Supplement as applicable to single audits, which we work diligently to stay informed of. Our clients can expect efficient and thorough audit services from our firm.
